Linen Braided Cord
It comes waxed, but when our wiry linen tubular braid containing fill threads is washed (we tested it in the washing machine in a lingerie bag with regular laundry detergent), the wax finish is removed, leaving a soft, pliable, yet strong lacing material, looking for all the world like it was luceted or spool knitted by hand. No one has to know that it was not. Your secret is safe with us! It becomes slightly larger in diameter (1/8") after being washed, and also becomes softer with use - excellent for lacing stays, or as 19th century shoe laces!
